In support to the needs of our dear learners and families, the Local Government of Sta. Margarita through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) distributed Educational and Livelihood Assistance to qualified recipients at the Municipal Evacuation Center, Brgy. Cautod, Sta. Margarita today November 5.
There were 151 recipients from the combined numbers of beneficiaries for both programs. One hundred fourteen (114) of them are students and 37 are parents, all residing in the municipality and are qualified beneficiaries of the programs who were able to comply the documentary requirements set by MSWDO.
From the figures above, the LGU aims to expand the program to a larger number of target recipients in order to cater all learners and families that direly need assistance and support from the government. The LGU truly understands the needs of everyone; however, due to the limited resources, there were only few who were able to be granted with the assistance. With this, the LGU promises to find ways to increase the number of recipients next year and will continue to work in providing quality services to all.
The LGU is positive that with the assistance, at least, the beneficiaries will be able to somehow get by the coming days to support their needs with their studies and day-to-day living.
The LGU expresses gratitude and felicitations to all the people who were involved in the implementation of the program.
The program is just few of the many. With God’s grace, may the coming years be blessed with the abundace of projects and programs for the municipality and its people.
The distribution was headed by Mrs. Marietta A. Verdeflor, MSWD Officer, and assisted by Mrs. Letecia R. Diongon, Municipal Treasurer. The activity was graced by Mayor Felix Roma Panganoron; Vice-Mayor Erdie de los Santos; Hon. Edwin L. Delos Santos, Chairman of the SB Committee on Education; Hon. Josefina A. Escuadra, Chairman of the SB Committee on Social Welfare; and, Hon. Felix Tabogoc, Jr., Chairman of the SB Committee on Rules and Privileges, Ways and Means.
