STA. MARGARITA, Samar – Five barangays in the municipality are set to receive significant improvements through projects funded by the Local Government Support Fund-Support to the Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP) of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), amounting to ₱2.5 million each, February 3.

To ensure the projects address the needs of the beneficiary barangays – Inoraguiao, Napuro I, Napuro II, Nabulo, and Bana-ao – a meeting was held with Mayor Felix Roma Panganoron and Mr. Ivo Allan C. Ty, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer, to identify and finalize the projects.

The following projects are scheduled for implementation:

  • Barangay Bana-ao: Construction of a Health Station
  • Barangay Inoraguiao: Rehabilitation/Improvement of Level II Water System
  • Barangay Nabulo: Provision of Renewable Energy-Based Electrification
  • Barangay Napuro I: Construction of a School Building
  • Barangay Napuro II: Rehabilitation/Improvement of Level II Potable Water Supply

These five barangays are part of the 780 barangays included in the memorandum for the distribution list released by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The barangay captains of the beneficiary barangays were also present at the meeting.
