STA. MARGARITA, Samar – In a bid to enhance human resource management practices within the Local Government Unit (LGU), the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Catbalogan City Field Office conducted an orientation on the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) on February 19th.
Sta. Margarita is the first municipality to receive assistance from the CSC in achieving Level 2 HRM, or Process-Defined HRM. The orientation comprehensively covered the program’s salient features, aiming to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of employee management within the municipal government.
The orientation also included an assessment of the municipality’s compliance level using the PRIME-HRM Assessment Tool for HRM maturity level 2.
The orientation and assessment were facilitated by Dir. Rey Albert B. Uy, Director II, CSC Samar Field Office, and Lucille K. Lepasana, Supervising Human Resource Specialist. The municipality’s Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO), represented by Ms. Hazel Camarines, provided assistance.
The activity was attended by municipal employees, including department heads and Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Members, led by Vice-Mayor Erdie L. de los Santos and Mayor Felix Roma Panganoron.
